Mother’s Day has made me miss Mickey more than ever. I know that she is not “technically” my child, but she is the definition of a daughter to me. I truly felt like I was put on this earth to take care of her, teach her, help her through hardships, be patient with her, and most of all, love her unconditionally. She has inspired me so much in the last few months. I love her so much. I’ll always have her back.

Summer

I know that it is not technically the summer solstice yet, but with the windows open, it feels like summer outside. Everyone in town is out in their yard, riding their bikes, and having white trash fights in the Bell Tower park. There is just something about this weather, and about it being light outside at 8 o’clock, that makes me so happy. It makes me feel invincible! It’s like the wind has blown life back into my lungs. I just want to spend all of my time reading, and outside with my friends, drinking and listening to music.
